LUCAS' 2nd Annual Paw Wow took place on April 19th at Dolphin Beach in Montclair, VA and was a huge success. Again this year we ordered pawsitively perfect weather, sunny and in the 70's. Lots of happy dogs and their human companions took a lovely 2 mile walk through parts of Montclair, while others visited with each other and the 35 vendors on hand. On Saturday, October 20, 2007, the Prince William SPCA held the 2nd Annual Pet Adopt-A-Thon and Fall Festival at the Prince William County Fairgrounds. The event was a huge success with an estimated 1000 people visiting the 45 vendors, animal rescue groups and exhibitors booths as well as participating in contests, a dog walk, raffle drawings and lots of fun.
LUCAS was proudly represented by several volunteers who were on hand passing out literature and providing the public with information on our organization and ways to help the homeless animals and save lives. We sold Halloween bandanas and LUCAS buttons as a fund raiser receiving almost $200 in contributions. All in all it was a very successful for LUCAS
LUCAS’ First Annual Paw Wow took place on April 21st at Dolphin Beach in Montclair, VA. The weather was picture perfect, sunny and in the 70’s as if we had ordered it in advance. At least 38 happy dogs and their human companions took a lovely 2 mile walk through parts of Montclair, while over 150 others visited with each other and the exhibitors. We even had 1 cat and a Cockatoo attend. The day was absolutely beautiful and everyone especially the dogs seemed to have a great time.
